1. Membership Agreement
By joining GRIT Performance Gym Ltd (“the Gym”), you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined below. Membership grants you access to our facilities during designated opening hours and is subject to continuous payment and appropriate behaviour.
2. Membership Type & Payments
Memberships are monthly rolling and paid by Direct Debit. No joining or cancellation fees apply. Payments must be received in full and on time. If a payment fails or is declined, your door access will be automatically suspended until payment is successfully made. Failure to resolve non-payment within 7 days may result in membership cancellation.
3. Cancellation Policy
Members may cancel at any time by giving a minimum of 5 days’ notice before the end of their billing month. Cancellations must be sent by email to mail@gritperformancegym.co.uk. No refunds are given once payment has been taken for that month. There is no cooling-off period once access has been activated. Door fobs must be handed back if membership is terminated.
4. Access and Security
Gym access is available from 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m, 7 days a week. Entry is via personal fob only. Fobs are non-transferable and may only be used by the registered member. Any attempt to allow another person to enter using your fob will result in immediate termination of membership without refund. You must use your fob to enter and exit the building, this allows us to stay updated on the number of people in the building at one time. Tailgating is prohibited. If door fob is lost or stolen, please contact management. A fee will be due for replacement fob. CCTV operates throughout the facility for safety and security purposes. The Gym is unmanned at certain times of the day; members must act responsibly and ensure their own safety.
5. Health and Safety
All members must complete a PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) before using the Gym. Members are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to exercise. If you feel unwell or sustain an injury, stop exercising immediately and seek medical advice. Emergency contact details and first aid information are displayed within the gym. Misuse of equipment or failure to follow safety rules may result in suspension or cancellation of membership.
6. Facilities and Conduct
Facilities include access to gym equipment, showers, and infrared saunas (in both male and female areas). Protein shakes and coffee may be available for purchase. Members must always respect staff, other members, and the property. Unacceptable behaviour, vandalism, or misuse of equipment will lead to immediate membership termination. Please re-rack weights, wipe down equipment, and keep the gym tidy.
7. Liability
Members use all facilities at their own risk. GRIT Performance Gym Ltd accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage to personal property while on the premises, except where caused by negligence of the company or its employees. Members are responsible for ensuring they use equipment safely and correctly.
8. Data Protection
Your personal information is securely stored and used only for membership management and gym operations in compliance with UK GDPR. We do not share your data with third parties except as required by law.
9. Changes to Terms
GRIT Performance Gym Ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be communicated via email or displayed within the gym. Continued use of the gym after such updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Acceptance
By joining GRIT Performance Gym Ltd and using your access fob, you confirm that you will provide photo ID to confirm you are over 18 years old, agree to having a photo taken which will be added to your membership profile , that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions, and understand that breach of these rules may result in immediate termination of your membership and access privileges.
